Groups Offering Arts Education Opportunities
Lee Arts Center: visiting master artists offer workshops in a wide variety of visual arts media, including ceramics, printmaking, jewelry making, and book arts. Workshops are geared to advanced students and professional artists. Open studios offer working artists space and equipment to create their art.
Artisphere: Artisphere's educational programs make you a part of the process behind the art! From lively discussions with musicians, artists, and poets to workshops with experts in their craft—engage, create and expand your knowledge through Artisphere's educational programming.
Arlington Recreation Division: Art classes, after-school arts programs and summer art camps are offered through the Arlington Recreation Division at several Arlington County locations. Classes include basketry, ceramics, drawing and painting, jewelry making, photography, ballet, tap, modern dance, ballroom dance, and guitar instruction. For a full schedule, call (703) 228-4747.
Arlington Public School Humanities Project Arlington County's Artists in the Schools program. It places artists for assemblies, workshops and residencies throughout the school year in all disciplines.
